The January award goes to Mark Street, Andrew Chapman and all members of the SDL team in the Santa 5K who between them raised just under £600!
In February, we were delighted to receive £3000 from the Thurcroft Cancer Fund, thank you to all who work so hard in Thurcroft to the benefit of local cancer charities.
Thank you to everyone for donations in March ranging from the Miller family and their yard sales, to companies nominating us for employee activities such as Dress Down Day - Jobcentre Plus, The Quadrant, Irwin Mitchell.
April saw the London marathon and Sheffield half-marathon - our thanks go to Geoff Cousins and Paul Fletcher for each raising WELL over £500, well done for your achievements and thank you!
It was thanks to Manor Operatic Society that in May we were able to rattle our collection buckets after performances of Annie. The audiences generously donated nearly £1200. Thanks to everyone, and congratulations to everyone involved in Annie as it was brilliant!
And in June, not only did Elaine Rogers conquer her nerves and abseil from Millers Dale bridge, but Elaine and family raised nearly £400 doing so!
Mel (the Brave) Revitt also threw himself off Millers Dale bridge and raised a fantastic £350 at the same time!
The Shaw family raised over £1000 through having a party to mark the end of son Oliver's treatment.
The party was Oliver's idea, as a way of thanking us for the holiday at Center Parcs enjoyed by all the family in November 2009 - well done and thank you to Oliver and everyone involved!
